Servus takes capacity and efficiency at Halder to a new level

Since the implementation of the Servus system in 2014, several expansions have been carried out at Halder to meet increasing demands. At the heart of the system are two small parts warehouses with a storage capacity of 39,000 storage locations (600 x 400 mm) and 78,408 locations (400 x 300 mm), respectively, which enable just-in-time material flow and shorten throughput times. Efficient use of space has increased storage capacity without expanding the size of the warehouse. This flexible solution adapts dynamically to the company's growth and seamlessly integrates new technologies.

Thanks to improved automation of transport routes, valuable time is saved in operational processes. The higher system performance leads to an increase in both production capacity and turnover. The plant is an excellent example of how modern logistics systems can increase the efficiency by means of advanced technology.

One highlight is the specially installed inventory weighing station, which significantly improves inventory control. The automatic inventory process run, which was developed specifically for Halder, starts automatically at the end of each workday—eliminating the need for manual inventory, which ultimately saves resources and increases transparency.

This automated solution increases process reliability in ongoing operations. Continuous and automatic inventory enables accurate inventory management in real time and enhances operational safety.

It's great to have a system that adapts flexibly to the ever-changing requirements. It's important for us that we can adjust the system's capacity and performance ourselves.
