The customized Servus system at Hirschmann Automotive's injection molding competence center creates a seamless material flow between material receipt, injection molding machines, packaging systems, assembly, high-bay warehouse, regranulation, and goods issue. The ARCs (Autonomous Robotic Carriers) transport materials according to the pull principle, ensure maximum process reliability, and make efficient use of space. The system is specially tailored to the requirements of injection molding production, integrates seamlessly into the processes, and is customized to Hirschmann Automotive. It performs fully automated transport tasks—from material receipt to assembly—and ensures efficient, space-saving supply.
At the heart of the smart factory in Vsetín are 77 injection molding machines with buffer areas on both sides. When containers are full, their contents are automatically transported away while an empty container is brought into position. Currently, 33 ARCs reliably supply all assembly, storage, and production areas as needed, minimizing waiting times and increasing flexibility.
The system enables precise control in real time, reduces storage space requirements, and improves material availability. In addition, automation contributes to better working conditions by minimizing manual transport and making processes safer. Individual integration into Hirschmann technology makes the system a key component for successful manufacturing automation.
