Significant reduction in tied-up capital through automation
The system is based on a central small parts warehouse with 10,764 storage locations. The goods are automatically transported to the assembly areas. There are decentralized picking stations where the material for the respective production areas is made available piece by piece. Items that are needed particularly frequently (fast movers) are temporarily stored in the picking stations' storage buffers, which significantly reduces transport trips and ensures short access times for fast-moving items.
The customer benefits from fully automated goods transport, which makes storage more efficient, reduces tied-up capital, and ensures item availability immediately after goods receipt. The short access times increase production flexibility, while the automation of manual transport increases efficiency.
Transport takes place via an overhead Servus conveyor system, leaving valuable assembly floor space free. Decentralized access to materials allows for just-in-time delivery, further optimizing processes. The system is adaptable, can respond to constantly changing requirements, and provides a value-adding, flexible material flow solution.
